Choose Health Insurance in Open Enrollment


Time has come to choose your health insurance. Because it is the time of open enrollment. We get this open enrollment once in year. During the time of choosing health insurance you need to be careful. You should not put tick mark beside your plan. Simply this is nothing but temptation. But you need to think one more time before doing this odd job. It is important to know about your health insurance.

If you don’t know about your health insurance plan you may face some difficulties. Suppose you don’t know about your coverage plan. Then you go to a pharmacy to buy some tablets. After that the pharmacist asked you $50 for 10 tablets instead of $20 dollars. You got surprised to here that. At last you could know that your health insurance plan’s brand name drugs.

There are some rules and regulations in health insurance plan. You need to maintain these. Now let’s have a look what the rules are.

1. It is possible to include your children in the health insurance plan if they are 26 or lesser.
2. You can’t add your child to the plan which age is under 19.
3. You won’t get lifetime coverage for your insurance plan & some others.

Option to make changes


Still you have option to make a little bit changes in your health insurance plan during the time of enrollment. You need to know about this. If you are already enrolled, you can change your plan according to the rules. Moreover you can modify other information too if you want. On the other hand if you are not enrolled in the health insurance, you need to enroll this time.

Types of health insurance plan


You need to choose your health insurance plan by considering your own situation. You may think which type of health insurance would be perfect for you; lower premiums and cheaper co-payments. Lower premiums and high co-pays is perfect for young men. 

Specially who are physically well. On the other hand if you are middle aged or more physically not so strong, having little child, need to visit to doctor for them or for you regularly; higher premiums and low co-pays health insurance would be the nice one for you.
